3 WEEKS LEFT!!!!!

With just 3 weeks to go, the pressure is buiding and the stress levels are rising withing Group D! I am starting to source my range, which is obviously UK manufactured, starting with creating my pestel then moving onto creating my strategy. This week is said to be the worst within FMP as its when reality kicks in!
I must admit I am super stressing...I just hope I get it done!!!!

Mulberry Research

Earlier this week I contacted Mulberry by email to ask for any promotional goods or look books they could give me, I also asked if I could visit the Mulberry factory in Somerset 'The Rookery' to have a look around as part of my research. I wasn't expecting a reply, but they replied the same day and have sent me lots of look books and other bits and pieces. With my research developing I have almost finished my range, with just 5 handbags and a few accessories to finish. I hope to source my range this week!!!

My range

Hiya Guys! Since my last post I have been working on my range! I might even give you a sneak peak of one of my options in the range.I love the coulours withnin my 1970's Seaside trend, I think they are super fun and perfect for a girlswear range. I have also been working on my research file by visiting one of the Mulberry stores and asking for any additional promotional handouts to put in my book. Unfortunately they didn't have much, so therefore gave me an email address. I emailed this yesterday and I'm still waiting for a response! :) This week has been a very busy week, I had my mums 50th Birthday and one of my close pals is moving away for 3 months to travel with the olympics! Exciting stuff! Anyways as promised heres a sneak peak at an option from the swimwear category in my range!..Hope you like it!...

Final Decision

The past few days have been so busy! Everyone is starting to panic as we've only got 4 weeks to go until hand in day! AHHH!!! We had some more tutorials today and I had to change the amount of options for my Mini Me Mulberry range. The figures have decreased from 102 to 49, which is much better as the original concept was too keep it small and compact as it's new to Mulberry this SS12. I also discussed the fact that I wasn't going to now manufacture my range in the UK, which my teacher then explained that I should definately stick to my orignal concept as it all links with Mulberry being a British brand, and also this would mean me changing my SOI. So I am going to stick to the Mini Me Mulberry as a British Manufactured range for girls aged 3-10 years. FINAL! Over and Out!...

Change of plan!

I had my tutorial with my sourcing teacher last week and we discussed the fact that Mini Me Mulberry is a range for young girls aged 3-10 years, that was going to be manufactured in the UK. This idea was discussed and it was explained to me that by having my range manufactured in Britain, this was making my FMP sourcing strategy alot harder than intended. She also explained that she thinks that having two concepts was unecessary with the actual range and then manufacturing in the UK. So therefore I have decided to source my range (clothing) from the sourced countries I have studied over the year (India,China and Europe). However Mulberry manufacture 30% of their handbags in their Somerset factory (The Rookery) and I am going to make sure all my Mini Me Mulberry handbags are all made there.

well on the way...

Since my last post I have been working on my concept boards and customer profile boards. I have also started my range and have found some really cute silhouettes to use. I have attached one of my concpet boards to illustrate what Mini Me Mulberry stands for. I always find brainstorming in a much easier way of explaining an idea or concept.

Idea signed off!

Sorry for the long gap between my posts guys..my internet has been down! Good news! Mini Me Mulberry has been accepeted and I am now ready to get started! In the time I haven't blogged I've done my sales and space mix and my option plan for the merchandising side, and have started to develop my customer profile and also my mood boards. I was just wondering guys...I have Mini Mulberry going into 4 London stores, shall I go online? Let me know what you think?
